You'll need basic information about your education, work experience, language skills, and family situation. Having your passport and any language test results handy will help, but you can estimate if you don't have exact details.

That's okay. You can self-assess your language ability and we'll use that to estimate your eligibility. Your report will note that official test results may change your assessment.

Your questionnaire progress is saved in your browser, so if you close the tab you can pick up where you left off in the same browser. After your results are ready, you can save your report to a free account so it stays available on any device.

Once unlocked, your report does not expire: you can revisit it online anytime. Saving it to a free account keeps it available on any device. Your free results summary before payment is available for 7 days.

The price depends on how many countries you choose, and it is capped however many you pick. Our pricing page shows the current amounts and the total for each number of countries. The questionnaire and the eligibility summary at the end of it are free, so you see what we found before deciding whether to pay.

We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Stripe also supports Apple Pay and Google Pay in supported browsers.

Card payments unlock your report straight away. Some methods clear more slowly, and where that happens your report shows that the payment is on its way and unlocks itself once the money arrives. You are never asked to pay twice. Our payment and delivery page explains what happens at each stage.

You see your free eligibility summary before you pay, so you always know what you're buying. Because the full report is delivered instantly once unlocked, we are unable to offer refunds after delivery, with one exception: if your report contains a confirmed factual inaccuracy, we will refund it in full (see our Terms). If a technical issue prevents you from accessing your report, contact us and we'll make it right.

The report assesses skilled, family, study, work and business routes. It does not assess refugee or humanitarian protection, family-violence protections, adoption, or the temporary measures a government opens during a crisis, because those turn on circumstances a questionnaire cannot fairly weigh. Your report is a record of what the rules were on the day it was generated, and we never rewrite one after the fact: a document that changed under you would be worse than one you know the date of. Where a correction on our side would have materially changed what your report told you, we offer you a fresh assessment at no cost.

HowToMoveTo encrypts all personal data in transit and at rest. We never sell your information, and we share it only with the providers that run this service. Your payment is processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

AI chatbots generate plausible-sounding answers, and they can be wrong without telling you. HowToMoveTo does not use AI to evaluate your profile. Your report is computed by a deterministic rules engine built from official government criteria, so the same answers always produce the same result, and every conclusion is traceable to a specific rule.
